TEE JAYS was founded in 1976 by Terry and Jim in Alabama. The adventure began in a garage with 25 old sewing machines, local fabric and lots of passion. 20 years later, TEE JAYS had 20 shipping and production plants in the Alabama area.

Georg Høfler met Terry Wylie at a tradeshow in California. This was the start of a long business relationship and a strong friendship. That same year, LG Sportswear was founded in Denmark, importing TEE JAYS products and selling them to retail.

The Sof Tee was the no. 1 t-shirt in retail sold by all the major shops in Denmark.

The first offshore Basic 150gsm t-shirt with a TEE JAYS neck label was produced in Bangladesh.

The first European catalogue with models was shot on the beach in Blokhus, Denmark.

Terry sold his lifework. The next year, Georg and Peter Høfler bought the rights to TEE JAYS in Europe.

LG Sportswear became TEE JAYS A/S. That same year, TEE JAYS moved to the logistics centre in Svenstrup.

The TEE JAYS domicile and logistics centre were built – and they have remained their headquarters and warehouse to this day.

TEE JAYS launched the B2C webshop. In the 1980s and 1990s, TEE JAYS was exclusively sold through retail channels and now they are back in the retail business!

Expanding their warehouse space to 12,000 square metres, the new warehouse has the capacity to hold more than 12,000 pallets or up to 4 million garments.
